Getting Ready

Dear Friends and Family,

Tomorrow I leave for Europe and I couldn't be more excited. The plan is to fly into Prague, train to Switzerland, and train to Paris, staying a few days in each place. From Paris I travel to Madrid where I will begin with a Stanford program.

Right now I am theoretically packing for this trip, but instead am starting a blog and hanging out with my friend Lee, who is visiting Chapel Hill, NC and will be traveling with me through Europe and eventually study abroad in Salamanca, Spain. We had lots of fun in Chapel Hill today, most of which involved food. I got to take Lee to my favorite biscuit place, introduce Lee to NC barbeque, show him an amazing ice cream shop and THEN my parents cooked an amazing dinner. Other than eating lots, we went bird watching and then visited with my sister and her two kids (who are still adorable).

There has been so much to do these past few days that I still have lots to do (like finish packing) and it's already 11 pm! So, I'll write more when I have even more exciting news to write about.
